The Thanksgiving holiday beckons many home to slow down, gather together and share.
Denver, alone, estimates 1 million travelers to fly in and out of DIA for this holiday.
For most, it’s a time for family and friends to break bread together and give thanks – thanks to God for the blessings from His hand to ours.
“…They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people…” Acts 2:46-47 NIV
This holiday begins the season of gladness, simplicity and generous hearts.
“Having said these words, he took bread and, giving thanks to God before them all, he broke it and began to eat. Then they all became more cheerful and were encouraged and took food themselves.” Acts 27:35-36 AMP
May we all pause this day (and every day) giving thanks to God for blessings freely given, but not necessarily deserved from our Father.
In our abundance – in our poverty,
In times of joy – in times of sorrow,
His heart and blessings toward His children,
are everlasting and never change.
In turn, out of our abundance may we give thanks in our ability to give and share with gladness and generous hearts with others around us in need of a blessing – from God’s hand, to ours, to theirs.
Happy Thanksgiving!
